Launch of the UDRAIN Working Group on Large Research Infrastructures in UD

For the past few months, a group of researchers and practitioners of urban drainage and sustainability has worked on the establishment of new JCUD Working Group on Large Research Infrastructure in Urban Drainage (UDRAIN), following in particular the successful collaborative work of our nine partners and 17 research facilities.

We are glad to announce that the UDRAIN Working Group has been formally accepted and established within JCUD!

The group’s objectives include improving available services, expanding the range of possible uses, supporting innovative research, and developing an improved cooperation roadmap in collaboration with other well-established JCUD Working Groups. See more in this document.

We will be presenting the Working Group, its priorities, and an open discussion on its next steps and future at the upcoming ICUD conference in Delft, the Netherlands. Our WG will host a session on Monday, June 10, 2024, in the afternoon (the ICUD slot dedicated to JCUD Working Groups).

To consolidate the session’s programme, we invite any institutions and individuals interested in joining our group to fill in this very simple form. Collecting these expressions of interest will be extremely helpful for us to have a more practical understanding of potential attendees and the outreach that group membership could have in the near future.

Don’t hesitate to share this news and the link to the survey with any partners, associates, or contacts of yours that you think could be interested in joining our group!

We look forward to collaborating with you in UDRAIN soon!
