Co-UDlabs at the 2023 Spanish Water Engineering Days

On October 18-19, 2023, Co-UDlabs was at the 7th edition of the Spanish Water Engineering Days (VII Jornadas de Ingeniería del Agua, JIA): a really rewarding experience, with the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena as great hosts.

Co-UDlabs’ partners at the Universidade da Coruña hosted a session to introduce the Urban Drainage Metrology Toolbox (UDMT) – an online and open-access tool developed by our partners at INSA Lyon – Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon – with a few practical examples of its range and potential.

UDC researchers also had a few sessions and poster presentations with the first early data from the projects participating in Co-UDlabs’ first TA call. We have funded 13 free-of-charge research projects and stays at 10 of our 17 installations in 2022-2023, and the JIA were a great opportunity to see that the first results, output, and research achievements are already starting to come in. We are grateful to the 10+ institutions, 50+ users, and all the facility providers that worked together to make this possible.

We have just closed our 2nd TA call and received 24 proposals, involving over 150 users from 25 countries and 72 different institutions, including universities but also small and medium enterprises, public utilities, and local regulators. We look forward to another exciting round of scientific advancement, research collaboration, and path-breaking results!
