Co-UDlabs partners met for the 3rd General Assembly of the project
From 22 to 24 January 2024, members and researchers from Co-UDlabs’ nine partner institutions met in person at EAWAG in Dübendorf (Zürich, Switzerland) for the 3rd General Assembly of the project.
During the General Assembly partners discussed the current status of project implementation and agreed on strategic and consortium-wide decisions for the next months. The meeting was also strategically important as it was held before the start of 18 new Transnational Access (TA) projects selected under the 2nd and 3rd Call, and a few weeks before the end of the 2nd project Periodic Report and the monitoring tasks that this implies.
During the meeting, each Work Package leader presented main results and deviations, current implementation and/or challenges in their workplan, as well as the main key steps for the next few months. This was followed by a detailed report on the outcomes of Co-UDlabs’ 2nd TA call and an intervention by Co-UDlabs’ Project Advisor (PA) at the European Commission’s Research Executive Agency (REA). Finally, a workshop on exploitation and a working group on data management were organised respectively by WP4 and WP2 leaders to advance together on these activities.
The General Assembly was also the opportunity to validate together the project’s trainings and dissemination schedule for the next few months, as researchers from nearly all Co-UDlabs partners will organise or will take part in the following events:
- A new webinar from our partners Universidade da Coruña and Deltares is coming up in early March on optical and computer vision techniques for flow and processes measurements.
- A professional training course organised by our partners INSA Lyon and GRAIE will be held in Lyon on 6-7 March 2024 on Uncertainty Assessment in UD monitoring data, aimed at practitioners, operators, water utilities, and stakeholders engaged in monitoring activities.
- INSA Lyon and Deltares, in collaboration with the Sewer Systems & Processes Working Group of the IWA – IAHR Joint Committee on Urban Drainage, are organising the 26th European Junior Scientists Workshop (EJSW) on “Monitoring urban drainage systems and rivers” that will take place from 26 May to 1 June 2024, at Saint Maurice en Valgaudemar, in France.
- Co-UDlabs will be featured at the European Water Association’s next IFAT congress (Münich -May 2024)
- Co-UDlabs partners will participate with a booth and a dedicated event on TA results at the Joint Committee Urban Drainage Conference – JCUD (Delft – June 9-14, 2024)
